Te Tauihu Short Story Awards is a prestigious platform for Aotearoa, New Zealand writers and has been a part of my writing journey for many years.
I was recently excited to learn and am proud to announce that my short story, Braemar Seniors Parkour Club, had been shortlisted for the Te Tauihu Short Story Awards.
Te Tauihu Short Story Awards are open to all Aotearoa, New Zealand writers. The New Zealand Society of Authors Top of the South Branch administers the competition sponsored by the Rata Foundation and River Haven Ngatimoto.
While I didn’t secure a top-three position this time, I am deeply grateful for the recognition of being shortlisted for this esteemed local award. I look forward to having another crack next year.
I will now send Braemar Seniors Parkour Club to market in the hope this will be picked up for publishing.
